Drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1994, Jim Pyne carried on his family's football legacy-following his grandfather and father onto the professional gridiron as the third generation of Pynes to play the game

Jim spent nine seasons in the National Football League as an offensive lineman - the position whose entire job is protecting the people who depend on you. He played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Detroit Lions, Cleveland Browns, and Philadelphia Eagles.

After nine seasons in the NFL, Jim Pyne traded the gridiron for the runway, co-founding Wheels Up in 2013. Over more than a decade, he rose to Chief Partnership Officer, helping build the startup into a publicly traded aviation leader.
The Next Chapter
After helping build Wheels Up into a household name, Jim saw an opportunity to put the client first. In 2024 he launched PLS Aviation as Founder and CEO—a Tampa-based brokerage offering personalized, on-demand charter with no membership fees and no hidden costs
